About
I began running in 6th grade on the middle school cross-country team to prepare myself for soccer. However, when the COVID-19 pandemic canceled the soccer season, I turned to running to stay in shape and discovered my passion for the sport. In 7th grade, I was pulled up to varsity. While I wasn’t the fastest at the time, my determination and work ethic helped me to improve. As captain, I now strive to lead by example, supporting my team and pushing us all to be our best.
My dedication expanded in my freshman year, which remains my best cross-country season to date. Though I haven’t surpassed those achievements since, I’ve continued to find fulfillment and success on the track, especially in the 800m, which has become my favorite.
During my junior year cross country season, my season ended abruptly due to injury which ended up being a stress fracture. Since my high school does not have a winter track team I looked into many club teams in my area. I ultimately ended up joining Emerging Elites due to their “individualized training plans” and the accomplished coaching staff who helped me with my progression to my goals.
Off the track, I am actively involved in Boy Scouts, where I’m working toward earning my Eagle Scout rank. I also hold leadership roles in DECA, participate in my school’s robotics club, and enjoy spending quality time with my family through hiking and skiing adventures.
