About

I’ve been told that I ran before I walked and I have never stopped. I spent the greater portion of my elementary and middle school years playing soccer and dancing competitively on a national and international level as an Irish Stepdancer with the CLRG. Although, I did not realize how much I loved running until I joined my high school track and field team.

I was excited to join my highschool XC team and proved to be a powerful freshman addition. During our first home meet of the season, I placed second overall and found that balancing dance four days a week with running 6 days per week was a challenge. This did not stop me from prioritizing running and helping my team qualify for states.

I was excited to have a successful indoor season and qualify for New Balance Nationals in the freshman mile and for states with my 4x800 team. My 4x800 team also qualified for Nike nationals, which led to a decision to make running my top priority. This was followed by a thrilling outdoor season that ended up with a qualification for states in the 2 mile and new strong goals for 2023/2024. I trained over the summer to run the Falmouth Road Race for the League School and surprised myself when I placed 16th for my age group.

My sophomore year was filled with strong finishes in both XC and indoor track. In XC, I finished 2nd at Divisionals which helped lead my team to all states at Fort Devens. I placed 13th at states and was named a Bay State Conference All Star. I won my high school's most outstanding runner award and set my goals high for the indoor season. Indoor track was filled with positive results for both my individual and team while tending to a nagging pain until it was confirmed that I had a broken foot and was forced to scratch out of the state meet, while being seated 8th. I was still honored to be voted a Bay State All Star and the MSTCA Auebach freshman-sophomore Outstanding Runner in Massachusetts for girls.

I missed the entire outdoor season of track but have worked hard in the gym and with my physical therapist to come back stronger than I was before. I spend my free time exploring my other interests with baking, traveling, volunteering, creating art and visiting family. Training with Emerging Elites is teaching me how to become a stronger runner and how to train properly. I am determined to meet my goals and help my team push toward more successes.
