About

I started running in 6th grade on my middle school cross country team, and immediately loved the team environment and the community I found around running. While I've run cross country ever since, my first time running indoor track was the 2022-2023 season, and my first outdoor season was that same spring. Outside of running I love anything art related, from painting, to drawing, to creating public murals. I also love cooking with my family, going on hikes and walks in nature, as well as reading and creative writing.

Indoor 2022-2023

After a strong first training block with Emerging Elites, Henry opened his indoor season at New Balance’s Night at the Track meet. He then ran in the GBTC Invitational’s Scholastic Mile where he ran 4:42 in his mile debut. Henry followed this performance with a 4:38 mile PR at the USATF New England Indoor Track & Field Championship, and he also ran the 800m leg of Emerging Elite’s DMR. Henry then took advantage of the lightning fast track at Boston University to race a breakout mile at the BU Last Chance meet, finishing in 4:33.

Outdoor 2023

Henry carried the momentum he had from the indoor season to the outdoor season, opening his season with Independent School League competition. In his first meet of the season, he ran 9:54 in the 3000m, his debut at that distance. Henry took him to another level when he ran two personal bests, 4:15 for the 1500m and 2:03.42 for the 800m, in the span of a couple hours at the Governor's School. At the Independent School League Championships, he finished 3rd in the 1500m and 6th in the 800m. Two weeks later at the Battle Road Track Club Meet #3, he lowered his 800m PR to 1:59.76. Henry focused on running fast in the last two meets of the year. He ran a 4:29 mile personal best at the Adrian Martinez Classic and wrapped up his season with another personal best in the 800m with a 1:59.07 finish at the final Battle Road Twilight meet.
