About

Ben has taken his passion for running fast to a new level in 2011-2012. After tasting a little success during the 2011 outdoor season, Ben decided to train in the Emerging Elites Summer Program.

In cross country, Ben broke the Framingham XC course record and had strong finishes at the state level. Ben raced to 6th place in the Division 1 race at Franklin Park in 16:24, a 49 second improvement and 29 place improvement over 2010.

Indoors, Ben has particularly focused on the middle distances and the 4x 400m relay. He has lowered the Framingham school record in the 1000m to 2:30.1, lowering his own PR 4 times. Ben is also the Bay State Conference record holder in the boys mile with his 4:21.74. Ben captured the MIAA Division 1 1000m title at Reggie Lewis, running 2:30.1 and qualifying for the All-State Championship.

Outdoors, Ben captured the Bay State Conference title in the mile and won the MIAA EMass Outdoor Mile championship.
