Cross Country 2022

After training with Emerging Elites in the summer of 2022, Anna was ready for a breakout cross country season. Anna ran the tables in her meets competing for Watertown High School leading up to the state championships. Anna finally got to test out all the training she had put in during the summer and fall when she competed in the MIAA Division 2 state championships at Fort Devens, where she placed 16th in the sections with a fast time of 19:40 on a challenging course. Anna finished her junior cross country season with a solid 56th place finish at the Champs XC Northeast Regional in Van Cortlandt Park.

Indoor 2023

Anna steadily improved her performance over the course of the 2022-2023 indoor season. She opened with a 5:27.01 PR at the MSTCA Coaches Invitational in the Small Schools division. Anna followed this performance with a blazing 3:12.93 personal best over 1000m at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational at Boston University. At the 2023 USATF New England Indoor Track and Field Championships, Anna ran an 800m PR in 2:28.60 and came back later that night to split a 2:30 on the 800m leg of a DMR. The following week, Anna took advantage of a quick race at Boston University’s Last Chance Meet and ran a personal best in the 1000m of 3:04.76. This time qualified Anna for the rising stars section of the 800m at New Balance Nationals where she ran a bold race and finished 55th in a time of 2:26.77.
