Lexi has taken the Cape Ann League by storm, including a first place win at the 2010 Bradley Palmer Freshman-Sophomore meet and a third place finish at the 2010 Cape Ann League Championships. An avid basketball player growing up, Lexi made the transition to indoor track her sophomore year after breaking her finger on a fast break. Since then, Lexi has focused on developing her speed in the middle distances. During the winter season of 2011-12, Lexi was the MIAAD4 runnerup in the 1000m indoors, running 2:57.89, the 39th fastest time in the US that season. She was also the runnerup in the MIAA D4 Mile outdoors in 2012 behind fellow Emerging Elites athlete Charlotte Walmsley, running 5:15.97 for a new mile PR. |
