He employs this unique perspective as an athlete, parent and coach to lead the Emerging Elites Program.
In his 35 years of professional coaching experience, Fred Treseler has identified talents for New Balance, Reebok, FILA and John Hancock, as well as international athletes aspiring to compete in the Olympics and the Boston Marathon. Fred Treseler coached the track and field program at Dedham High School and led the newly formed Boston College Women’s Cross-Country team to national prominence during the first few years of its existence.
After coaching at the collegiate level, Fred Treseler focused on post-collegiate athletes. He coached two athletes to the Olympic finals in the 10,000m, including an American athlete who was ranked #1 in the world at that distance in 1985.
Over the past five years, Fred Treseler's career has come full circle as he redirects his energy back to the middle and high school levels. He channels his athletic passion and expertise into identifying and developing rising young athletes through the Emerging Elites program.
